We photograph
live culture.

Coda is a photography and creative agency built for live culture. Since 2022 we've shot 600+ artists across Europe, alongside brand, fashion, and sport work, and helped get it seen, from festival crowds to British Vogue and Getty. We're led by two working professionals who treat every shoot the same way: shot with intent, credited to the photographer who made it, and built to reach an audience. Whatever lives in culture, we capture it and make sure it lands.

The disruption

The industry runs on bad habits. We don't.

Photographers under-credited or not credited. "Exposure" as payment. Rights grabs in small print. Closed rosters. Editorial that flatters the brand, not the room.

Coda is built on the opposite. Open Briefs for working photographers. Mentored Collective for those coming up. Real rates published. Bylines on every credit line. A publication that shows the receipts. Tools given away free.

If the photo doesn't have a name next to it, it's stock. Coda exists so working photographers stop being stock.

Leeds-born, Amsterdam-based. Contracted to Getty for music and film coverage across the Netherlands, with editorial pickups for British Vogue, Rolling Stone, Radio X and Rock Sound. Runs the Coda Briefs platform on the days he isn't shooting a festival.

The best images come out of the room you weren't supposed to be in. Half our job is being trusted in those rooms.

02 · Principles · Five rules, zero exceptions

What we hold to.

The five lines we hold to, in the language we use with clients, with the contract clause, rate page or template each one points to in production.

Holds the room · same hairline grid as the table above

01 / Honest
Honest images.
We shoot what's really there, not a staged version. No content, no assets, no creators. If a brand wanted a different room, they should have booked one.

02 / Pit
Built in the pit.
The instincts we learned shooting live, read the room first then the lens, show up in every job we take, brand or band. The pit teaches you to be useful and quiet.
In practicetwo-pass rule · since day one
03 / Fair
Fair and clear.
Honest rates published, clear contracts, no surprises. "Contact us for pricing" is fine for jets. Not for a Friday-night photo call.

04 / Seen
Made to be seen.
We help the work reach the right audience. Press placements, archive licensing, syndication, byline. A photo that lands in nine inboxes isn't a photo that lands.
In practicecredit clause 4.2 · every license
05 / Open
Open, not gatekept.
We share access with the people who earn it. Briefs is open. Collective is free. The crew you came up with is the crew you stay with.
